Cake smash
Clothes
I have got a limited variety of clothes suitable for a cake smash at the studio, however I do recommend bringing your own if you want a nice variety.
- You will all get messy. Parents also - especially if the little one is crawling/walking. you may want to bring a change of clothes for everyone.
The shoot
- We will start the shoot with the little one sat in a chair. Lets get some nice shots before cake gets thrown around!
- Kids will either love or hate the cake. If you can, buy the softest cake you can (Victoria sponge style. usually its the texture that will put babies off initially. something they can push into easily helps this.
- Babies will usually only play/smash the cake for around 15 minutes before they want to do something else - which is totally okay!
- Make sure to bring lots of wet wipes! I’ll get cleaning the studio up, however cake finds its way into all those baby creases you didn’t even know exsisted!
- I have a little sink in the bathroom you’re welcome to wash the little one down in. you can bring a towel to make it easier.

Milestone
Milestones are very much led by the little one, letting them explore! If you bring a gorgeous outfit for them, I'll bring the toys! I have a beautiful Wooden cake, numbers, old style cars, and lots of beautiful general neutral toys! You will also have the option to have a large number balloon, which you can then take home with you afterwards!
